Your team shouldn't be the integration

Your team shouldn't be the integration

Before most of our best customers came to us, they had a few relationships with large parking operators around the country. Every time they launched a new market that one of those operators covered someone had to log into that operator's portal and enter every vehicle. One at a time.

A few parking operators almost never fit every market that our customer wanted to be, so launches usually required a new portal, a new login, and a growing list to keep portals straight.

A growing list of portals was annoying, but arguable managable. Vehicles were arriving to the lot from the FMC, drivers were being hired and onboarded, and somebody had to keep the new portal updated. Not to mention, they were updating the other portals in their markets with vehicle changes too.

There were typos.

Sometimes the person in charge of updating vehicles forgot.

There were tickets. Don't worry, we got them voided.

Managing vehicles across portals was chaotic and it sucked.

One place helped. It wasn't good enough for us.

When customers moved their parking to Mobility Places, the first thing they told us was how much they liked having every parking interaction in one place. One login for every location, whoever runs it. They loved that vehicles and drivers could all be managed in one tool. It was much easier to do things like cut off access when needed or move vehicles from location to location.

We were glad. It still wasn't good enough for us though, because mistakes happen. Someone types a 0 where there should be an and the vehicle gets a ticket. Nobody did anything wrong except be human at 4:45 on a Friday.

The real problem hadn't gone away. Customers still had to log into a system and add their vehicles. They still had to keep the same data current in more than one place. Their team was the integration layer.

Your team shouldn't be the integration layer. Systems should be.

We made fleet parking even easier.

Mobility Places is now connected to Geotab, and you can find us on the Geotab Marketplace.

If you run your fleet on Geotab and park with us, your vehicle and driver records come straight from your Geotab database into Mobility Places. From there, your vehicles are added at every parking operator you park with, whoever runs the garage or the lot.

For the first time, a fleet can connect its telematics once and be set up with every parking operator it uses.

We completely got rid of retyping a plate that already lives in your system. When a vehicle is added in Geotab, it's added to your parking, and ops, dispatch, finance and whoever approves the invoices are all looking at the same record.

Operators can now focus on analytics instead of data entry

When a person stops being the integration layer, the data stays in sync on its own. And data you trust is data you can use.

Integrated customers also get utilization and optimization metrics in Mobility Places. Figuring out whether you have the right amount of parking in the right places is a much better use of an afternoon than checking whether someone added the new vans to the downtown garage.

If you're already on Geotab, reach out and we'll get you connected. If parking is the side job nobody trained you for, we'd be happy to take it off your plate.

Geotab is the first connection. It won't be the last.
